Staff Profiles


The UWA Health Promotion Team has two staff members who work collaboratively on the four health promotion projects.

Senior Health Promotion Officer

Tricia Wylde BN, PGDipHlthSci, MHlth Prom

Tuesday, Thursday & Friday

Tricia has over 25 years experience in the provision of health services and has completed Post Graduate studies in Rehabilitation and Health Promotion. Alcohol and Other Drugs and mental health promotion have been a central focus of her role as a health promotion practitioner. Tricia specialised in the design, implementation and evaluation of health promotion initiatives on tertiary campuses and is an experienced trainer. Tricia also works as a Health Promotion consultant providing a range of services in the community and resources sector.

Health Promotion Officer

Bree Shields (aNutr) BhlthSc (Nutrition & Human Biology), GradCertDiabEd

Monday to Thursday

Bree completed a Bachelor of Health Science in 2007 and a Post Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education in 2009. Since graduating she has worked in various roles including research and tutoring. During her studies she undertook extensive volunteer roles, from community projects to clinical experience. Bree now co-ordinates the UWA Health Promotion Volunteer Program, along with working across all project areas within the Fit For Study framework.
